From 2015 men will have the right to take unpaid time off to attend two antenatal appointments.
Unpaid parental leave is set to increase from 13 weeks to 18 weeks from March 2013. At present the leave must be taken before the child’s 5th birthday, but from 2015 this will be amended, so that it must be taken before the child’s 18th birthday.
