Jack Ross is bucking the trend nationally towards redundancies by announcing it is on the look out for new employees.

We currently employ 30 people at our base on The Approach, Blackfriars Road, and we are looking to increase the head count over the coming months.

We have created a new accounts senior position, which we want to fill immediately and a graduate position that we will be looking to fill in September.

Managing partner Peter Black said the company had experienced steady growth over the last couple of years, which had led to the creation of the jobs.

Peter said: “We’re incredibly proud that at a time of great economic difficulty and uncertainty, we are in a position to create jobs. We are not just weathering the storm, we are rising above it.

“In particular we have seen a large increase in the number of small family businesses clients. The mainstay of our client base has traditionally been professionals and barristers, and while this continues to flourish, we are also seeing areas of growth and the small business sector is one of them.”

Peter said Jack Ross had benefited from having their profile raised in the north west through their sponsorship of a charity campaign in aid of the New Children’s Hospital Appeal.

Peter said: “We decided to sponsor the Many Hands Campaign as a way of celebrating our 60th anniversary last year and also to give something back to the community by helping the New Children’s Hospital Appeal raise a substantial amount of money.

“But we have found that it has also helped to raise awareness of Jack Ross and what we can offer as well as enhancing our already solid reputation.”
