Jack Ross Team Away Day 2020
Every year at our firm, staff are rewarded for all their hard work in the previous year with an Away Day. Staff are treated to a day of fun filled activities to inspire and motivate for the coming year.
Our Away Days have usually followed a similar format, however this year, our Senior Leadership Team came up with something a bit different!
11th February 2020 was chosen as this year’s big day and our Managing Partner Umar, Senior Partner Peter and Practice Manager Wendy, had a special challenge for the Jack Ross team.
‘The Apprentice’ Jack Ross Style
The staff were split into five groups, with some great team names chosen. ‘Accountaholics Anonymous’ and ‘Between the Spreadsheets’ being highlights!
The days activities were to consist of an Apprentice-style challenge, where the teams were tasked with creating a marketing video that would encourage talented individuals to come and work for Jack Ross. Each team were given a budget, and had to show their video and present their ideas to the judges the following day.
The panel consisted of our partners Umar and Peter, Practice Manager Wendy, and special guest judges consisting of the Videographer and Social Media Manager from the offices of one of our valued clients.
As if this wasn’t exciting enough, staff were also treated to some time at the beautiful spa at the Hilton Hotel. The teams indulged in some relaxing treatments, and availed of the pool and sauna facilities, in between busily preparing their presentations.
And the Winner is…
After all the presentations were viewed and the judges deliberated, the winners were chosen. As this is only an Apprentice-style challenge, nobody was fired but the winning team will receive a fantastic treat for their efforts.

A big well done is naturally in order to the other four groups who each did an amazing job with their presentations too.
